On behalf of the Faustina Hockey Club it is our pleasure to invite you to participate in our 22nd Carl Gordaneer Memorial Christmas Select Tournament. (Minor Novice to Midget Sr)
The tournament will be held at the home of Faustina Hockey – The Ford Performance Centre (Formerly MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence), located at at 400 Kipling Ave, Toronto (less than 5 minutes south of the QEW)
The tournament is an outstanding value for your team, with a 4 game guarantee for $1000.00, and with no gate admissions.
The competition level is mixed depending on the division and entries received, but your team doesn’t have to be in the top tier or always in first place to be competitive.
The annual Christmas tournament has become a long standing tradition and we appreciate everyone that makes this tournament possible. We would like to thank all of the teams, coaches, sponsors, committee members and fans; because without you the tournament would not be possible.
Note: To comply with the OHF ruling, there will be no body checking in all divisions.
Format of tournament:
- $1000 fee (full payment required to secure spot)
- Maximum of 4 teams per division between Dec 26th – 31st. EACH TEAM IS GUARANTEED 4 GAMES
- Each team has 2 days off during the Tournament dates. Finals are on December 31st (with early finish)
- All players must participate regularly in their House League schedule in conjunction with their Select program
- Round Robin tournament structure – 1st and 2nd place teams play the 4th game for the championship, 3rd and 4th place teams play the 4th game for the consolation
- Tournament open to GTHL/NYHL Select teams, Mississauga and Oakville “Red “, Brampton Intercity and others…
- Minor Novice will be 1/2 ice
